Africa Hockey boss hails GHA
The president of Africa Hockey Federation, Seif Ahmed, has lauded Ghana Hockey Association (GHA) for the efficient way it organised the just ended Hockey World League Round 1 tournament held at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra.

In the tournament, organised between September 9 and 11, 2016, both the male and female national hockey teams won all their matches in their respective divisions to qualify for the Hockey World League Round 2 tournament.
While the male team booked a place to participate in the Hockey World League Round 2 tournament which would be held in Bangladesh in March next year, the females will battle it out in the women Round 2 tournament scheduled for Spain, also in March next year.
Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Namibia participated in the Accra tournament, and among the dignitaries who watched the three-day event was Mr. Ahmed.
Commenting about the tournament moments after it ended, he was full of praise for the GHA for their organisational acumen, describing it as exceptional.
“ Anytime Ghana hosts such tournaments, everything goes on perfectly, and i give them thumbs up for their skills.
He congratulated the male and female teams for their outstanding performances and urged them to focus on their training to enable them to excel in the Hockey World League Round 2 tournament.
