Cricket tour at Achimota Sunday
The annual Waatco Diwali Cup T20 Cricket tournament took off last Sunday at the Achimota Cricket park in Accra.

The tournament is being organised by the Indian Association of Ghana, and the Ghana Cricket Association. Oasis Cricket Club beat Godrej Cricket Club by 60 runs.
Batting first, Oasis scored 144 for six wickets in 20 overs.Chasing this big score, Godrej could only manage 84 for eight in their alloted 20 overs.
Bowler Baiju top scored for Oasis with 33 runs and also took 3 wickets, earning him the man of the match award.
In the second game, Everest Cricket club took on last year’s Runners Up Knight Riders.
Batting first, Everest Cricket Club scored briskly to make 136/7 in their 20 overs.
Their innings was anchored by batsman Ajay ,who scored 64 runs of just 44 balls. Knight Riders could only manage 101 for six wickets in their 20 overs and lost the game by 35 Runs.
Ajay also took two wickets and was named the Man of the Match.
The tournament continues next Sunday with four exciting matches scheduled to be held.
