The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Albert Commey, has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to ensure fair officiating in their penultimate Premier League encounter against leaders, Wa All Stars, to enable a true champion to be crowned.

Commey stated that Aduana Stars would readily congratulate All Stars should they defeat them on merit at Wa other than through biased officiating.

Aduana Stars will travel to the Wa Stadium to engage leaders, All Stars, in a title-defining fixture on Sunday, September 15, as they currently trail their opponents by three points.

In an interview with Graphic Sports, Commey said, “we want the GFA to see to a fair officiating in our match against Wa All Stars if indeed a true champion is to be crowned”.

“We don’t want to take chances but we promise to congratulate them if they defeat us on merit,” he stressed.

Asked if his outfit had encountered any poor officiating so far this season, he answered in the affirmative but explained that they just decided not to complain about them.

“We have experienced some bad officiating but we just decided not to complain. In this case we want a true champion,” he added.

Meanwhile, Aduana Stars skipper, Godfred Saka, says his side have been presented with an opportunity to avenge the first round defeat inflicted on them by League leaders, Wa All Stars when they lock horns in their penultimate Premier League encounter at the Wa Stadium.

Saka told the Graphic Sports on Tuesday that his side was psyched up to deal with any pressure in their remaining three league fixtures, especially in the showdown with All Stars on September 15.

“We will be up for two things and that will be revenge and the title when we play Wa All Stars.

As the skipper of the side, I have asked the team, to be focused in our last three matches which will determine our fate at the end of the season,” he added.

The 27-year-old, however, demanded fair officiating which he said could affect the results.

Fair officiating, he argued would give the entire nation a true champion.

We will never lose to All Stars if we get fair officiating because we want a true league champion and not a champion through the back door,” he stressed.
