FHUC holds second matriculation

The President of Family Health Medical School, Professor Enyonam Yao Kwawukume has urged students to take advantage of the facilities available them to personally and intellectually develop their potentials.

Speaking at Family Health University College’s second Matriculation ceremony, Prof Enyonam Kwawukume entreat students to trust their advisors and Professors to be able to tap into their experiences.

He stated that, students should be independent in their activities and be critically analytic in their innovations.

“…… Trust your advisors and professors to help you. They have the experience, wisdom and knowledge to help you succeed. What they expect of you is to be independent in your judgment and critical in your analysis and innovative in all you do”, he stressed.

Prof Kwawukume further stated that, the medical profession is a human centered and action oriented profession which requires sympathy and care.

He stressed that, the medical profession requires individuals with empathy and compassion to be able to care for people in sickness and in health.

Prof Enyonam Kwawukume has advised students to live up to the challenge by acquiring the requisite knowledge and skills that will help them in their profession.

The Family Health University College started at the 51 Guggisberg Street, Korle Bu, Korle Gonno, Mamprobi in the year 1997 as a Diagnostic Centre.

It later moved to Zoti road in rented premises and now to its permanent location at Teshie, directly opposite kofi Annan Peace Keeping Centre.

The Family Health Medical School is Ghana’s Premier Private Medical School with modern facilities, spacious laboratories and lecture halls.  

It comprises of a Hospital, Nursing and Midwifery School and Medical School.
