The Akyem Oda Area Head of the Christ Apostolic Church International, Rev. Emmanuel Ohene Fenteng, has called on Ghanaians to eschew homosexuality, lesbianism and abuse of hard drugs since indulging in these activities had the tendency for ruining their lives.

He urged Christians, in particular, to commit themselves to the worship of the all-knowing God in order to gain salvation and everlasting life.

Rev. Fenteng made the call at the launch of the church’s centenary celebrations at Akyem Oda last weekend. The occasion was attended by hundreds of members of the church.

Rev. Fenteng said even though Christians constituted a majority of the population in Ghana, criminal activities nevertheless, continued to escalate.

He, therefore, urged Christians to intensify their evangelical activities as a means of minimising the menace of crime in order to relieve the masses of the stress they were going through.

He further noted with regret, the alarming rate of teenage pregnancy in the Akyem Oda area and implored parents to team up with religious leaders to curb the negative situation.

Rev. Fenteng said the CAC International was committed to the development of education in the country, which was the reason it had established many educational institutions in the country.

He stressed that with competent leadership, the CAC international would grow from strength to strength.

Following immediately after the launch, members of the church embarked on a float through the principal streets of Oda amid singing and dancing to brass band music.

The CAC International, established by Apostle Peter Anim at Asamankese in 1917, is regarded as the father of Charismatic churches in the country.
