Family Health University College holds second matriculation
Professor Enyonam Yao Kwawukume, president of Family Health Medical School has urged students to take advantage of available facilities to develop their personality, intellect and potentials.

He also entreated students to trust their advisors and professors to be able to tap into their experiences.
Prof Kwawukume who was speaking Tuesday at the Family Health University College’s second matriculation ceremony, also tasked the 33 matriculates to be independent in their assessments and be critical in their observations.
“…… Trust your advisors and professors to help you. They have the experience, wisdom and knowledge to help you succeed. What they expect of you is to be independent in your judgment and critical in your analysis and innovative in all you do”, he stressed.
Prof Kwawukume further stated that the medical profession is a human centered and action oriented profession which requires sympathy and care and therefore requires individuals with empathy and compassion to be able to care for people in sickness and in health.
He advised the students to live up to the challenge of their calling by acquiring the requisite knowledge and skills to will help them in their profession.
The Family Health University College started at the 51 Guggisberg Street, Korle Bu, Korle Gonno, Mamprobi in the year 1997 as a Diagnostic Centre.
It later moved to Zoti road in rented premises and now to its permanent location at Teshie, directly opposite the Kofi Annan Peace Keeping Training Centre.
The Family Health Medical School comprising a hospital, nursing and midwifery as well as a medical school, boasts of modern facilities, spacious laboratories and lecture halls.
