All Nations University College students complete training
Forty-two Biomedical Engineering students of the All Nations University College (ANUC) in Koforidua in the Eastern Region have graduated after a six-week intensive practical training programme in Accra.

The programme, which gave opportunity to students of the institution to gain practical skills in their academic pursuit, was a collaborative effort by the university, and the Beautiful Creations Company Ltd, an organisation that is into the training of medical students and the merchandise of medical equipment.
Intensive programme
The students, made up of 30 females and 20 males, were taken through intensive academic programmes such as the introduction and assessment of medical equipment, pre-installation and electronic works, installation and start-up of medical equipment, maintenance, repairs, and after-sales services.
They were also taken through trouble shooting and faulty diagnostics, precision marketing and sales promotion, procurement processes, and hospital and clinical visitation.
Partnership
The Head of Department of the Biomedical Engineering Department of the university, Mr Archibald Ekow Dankwa, said there was the need for educational institutions to partner related organisations, to train students to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to meet the competitive corporate world.
The programme, he said, was a mandatory internship for biomedical engineering students of the university to gain more practical knowledge in their academic discipline.
Keynote address
Delivering the keynote address, the CEO of the Beautiful Creations Company Ltd, Mr Sam Ansong, commended the students for successfully completing the internship programme, and advised them to be patriotic, adding that life was not all about money but achievements through determination and hard work.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Mr Andrew Sam, commended the two institutions for the worthy collaborative initiative, adding that "we are mentored and empowered"
