In the death of His Excellency Flt. Lt. Jerry Rawlings, not only has Ghana lost a son, but Africa has lost a voice that spoke truth to power at national, continental and global leadership levels.
The late JJ Rawlings stood tall among African leaders who have advocated for an Africa that is self-sufficient, self-reliant, disciplined, democratic and vigilant.
In death, he will not be forgotten because his strong will and vision for an Africa that took care of its own, and for a world where multilateralism is pursued in the best interest of the most vulnerable encapsulates our shared vision for the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
