xTKD Taekwondo Open Aug 18

The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) will organise this year’s xTKD Taekwondo Open Championships at the D.G. Hathiramani Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium from August 18 to 19. 

The annual championship, which is the biggest taekwondo competition in the country, involves various categories such as seniors, juniors, cadet and para-taekwondo (persons who are challenged). The contest areas are sparring, poomsae (assembly forms), breaking and taekwondo aerobics. 

The event will be organised by the GTF and the xTKD Championship, and is sponsored by the xTKD Foundation.

All taekwondo clubs registered with the GTF are expected to participate in the championships. 

According to the PRO of the GTF, Adnan Lamptey, the championship is free to the public but contestants will pay a registration fee of GH¢20.00.
