World Cup promo: Graphic, Silver Star Auto to reward readers

Football fans and subscribers of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) brands stand the chance to win GH¢1 million in rewards and the grand prize of a brand new Peugeot pick-up in the GhanaWin2020 promotion being organised by the GCGL and Silver Star Auto Limited, agents of Peugeot automobiles in Ghana.

The World Cup-themed promotion will reward winners who score points by answering trivia questions.

The questions are based on the content of Graphic Sports and the sports content of all the other GCGL brands, with participants winning through the accumulation of highest points.

The promotion, which started yesterday, offers football fans the opportunity to score points when they click on the website www.graphicwin2022.com to register.

Participants will then have to answer a series of sports questions correctly and be awarded points, based on which they will receive various prizes, including TV sets, replica jerseys, headphones, among others.

Take opportunity

At the promo launch in Accra yesterday, the Managing Director of Silver Star Auto, Asad Nazir, entreated sports fans to seize the opportunity to win handsome rewards daily, weekly and monthly, as well as the grand prize of a Peugeot Landtrek pick-up to be presented to the winner on December 31, 2022.

He extolled the partnership between his outfit and the GCGL and praised the credibility of GCGL brands and the time-tested reputation of Silver Star Auto and the Peugeot brands.

"This Peugeot 1.9-litre engine which is being awarded as the grand prize has state-of-the-art safety features and is equipped with the best modern features anyone can imagine," Mr Nazir said.

Unique feature

The Director of Marketing and Sales of the GCGL, Franklin Sowa, said one unique feature about the promotion was that it was neither a raffle nor a draw but a promotion to test the football knowledge of Ghanaians.

He disclosed that proceeds from the promotion would be channelled into subsidising copies of the Junior Graphic newspaper for schoolchildren from deprived communities in Ghana to help deepen their knowledge base and improve their reading habits.

"We are rewarding our younger generation in deprived communities to win something for their communities and football fans to gain from supporting the game," he said.

Mr Sowa added that the promotion was an everyday reward for soccer fans and entreated participants to access the many content platforms of the GCGL to get something valuable out of the promotion.

“All readers have to do is read sports news from the GCGL news platforms, answer simple questions and stand the chance of winning fantastic prizes,” he added.

Graphic, Silver Star lauded

A former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars player, Yusif Alhassan Chibsah, who was a special guest at the launch, lauded the effort of the GCGL and Silver Star Auto to educate and sensitise Ghanaians to the upcoming FIFA World Cup through the promotion.
