West Ham presents improved offer for Man Utd's Harry Maguire

Reports suggest that West Ham United has put forth an enhanced offer of £30 million [€35 million] to secure the services of Manchester United and England central defender, Harry Maguire.

Throughout the summer, Maguire has been associated with a potential move to West Ham, following an initial £20 million offer which was turned down.

Maguire, 30, experienced a decrease in playing time at Old Trafford during the previous season and was recently replaced as captain by manager Erik Ten Hag.

Manchester United has consistently reiterated Maguire's significance to their squad, expressing their willingness for him to remain and compete for a spot. Despite the competition for defensive positions including Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof, the club values Maguire's contributions.

The centre-back, who joined Manchester United in 2019 for a fee of £80 million, could see increased competition for a place on the team due to the presence of various defenders.

In a separate development, West Ham has also been linked with a potential move for Maguire's United teammate, Scott McTominay.
