Vision FC dare Wa All Stars as StarTimes Gala starts today

The captain of Vision Football Club, Wisdom Amede, says they are ready to settle old scores with Wa All Stars when they meet in the opening game of the StarTimes GFA Gala at the Nduom Stadium at Elmina today.

The skipper contends that this game presents them with a fine opportunity to avenge their 0-1 defeat to Wa All Stars during a friendly encounter at the Amrahia Stadium a fortnight ago.

Both Wisdom and his deputy captain, Nicholas Amoakoh, told the Daily Graphic yesterday that they have become familiar to the tactics of the Wa-based side following their last encounter and would go all out to frustrate them to snatch the winner after the 40-minute play.

“We the players are ready and our technical men are also ready for this gala. Our main target is to finish tops in this competition and that is why we have come to Cape Coast ahead of time to get ourselves acquainted with the area and train for the gala,” Amede said.

“We are a very young side and Wa All Stars are a Premier League club, but we would not let them win because we know their tactics now after our last game at home and we are going to face them head on today. We are hoping to progress to the next level and nothing is going to stop us,” added Amoakoh.

Other exciting fixtures will see Ebusua Dwarfs and Inter Allies clashing in the second game of the day with Tarkwa-based Medeama SC and Brekum Chelsea engaging in an all-premiership encounter.

Dawu-based Dreams FC will also take on Samartex FC for a place in the quarter-final ahead of the Hearts of Oak versus Great Olympics topliner while Bechem United engage NEA Salamina  to end the first day’s encounters of 20 minutes per half.
