There’s a lot to like about Albert Adomah - but you already knew that. If you know of him, then the pure mention of his name has sent the edge of your lips curling already.

Albert Adomah makes football fans smile, and as well as that, Villa’s wing wizard has plenty of reasons to be smiling himself!

Through the 30 (thirty) games played so far in this current Championship season, Albert Adomah has already racked up 12 goals in the league from his spot on the left wing at Aston Villa. Personally, that’s a massive achievement - it means that the winger has equalled the 12 goals that he scored for Middlesbrough in the Championship back in the 13/14 season. He’s still got 16 games left to play this season as well!

Despite the fact that Villa have got their sea legs underneath them and are progressing well, we shouldn’t forget that Adomah carried Villa for a significant portion of the season when the team wasn’t playing so well. Adomah’s goals after Andre Green’s injury exit early in the season have proven to be crucial - and that’s from someone who was all but set to be a reserve player for Villa this season.

Villa’s season thus far has been defined by returning players. Jack Grealish’s return from injury, Scott Hogan, Alan Hutton, Birkir Bjarnason and Albert Adomah have also come in from the cold to return to first-team action. Sam Johnston, obviously returned on loan from Manchester United. Every single one of these players has proven something this season - and players like Adomah are reaping the personal gains as well.

Albert has become a fan-favourite at Villa Park, and the good-natured player is a goal off from breaking his own personal best! I’m sure we’ll all be behind him as he bags a certain goal to make it 13 on the season in the league and 14 overall. What a season it has been for him.
