Callum Hudson-Odoi's decisive strike ended Nottingham Forest's 55-year wait for a league victory at Anfield, handing Liverpool their first loss under new manager Arne Slot.

Hudson-Odoi, coming off the bench, scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute, completing a swift Forest counter-attack with a curling shot that ricocheted in off the post.
Earlier, Liverpool came close to scoring through Luis Diaz, whose shot hit the base of the post in the first half. However, Nuno Espirito Santo's Forest side managed to contain Liverpool in what was a subdued performance from the home team.
The defeat halts Liverpool's winning momentum after impressive victories against Ipswich Town, Brentford, and Manchester United. They now trail Manchester City by three points at the top of the Premier League table.
Forest, unbeaten so far in the 2024/25 season, climb to fourth place with eight points, just one behind Liverpool, who remain second.
