VIDEO: Albert Adomah scores for Forest in 1-1 draw

Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah was delighted to come off the bench and contribute straight away in Nottingham Forest's 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic on Wednesday night.

The winger came on as a 64th-minute substitute for Matty Cash at The Valley and went on to score the equaliser as The Reds claimed another important point away from home.

Despite a disappointing first-half display from his team, Adomah was happy to take a point from the contest and says Forest must take heart from the result ahead of Saturday's trip to Fulham.

He said: "It's not a bad point away from home. I know it's not the three points we wanted but we didn't lose the game after being 1-0 down so that's a positive. You have to give credit to Charlton, they played very well in the first half but second half we had much more confidence and we took the game to them.

"It's always good to come off the bench and make an impact, just like Sammy and Samba did at Leeds so I'm pleased I was able to do that tonight. There's healthy competition for places, I've got Lolley, Cashy and Sammy who are all younger than me so it keeps me on my toes!

"Everyone knows Fulham and what a fantastic Championship team they are. They like to keep the ball really well but I know if we go there and take our best game to them then we can come back with the three points.

"Fulham will present a different test to Charlton. They move the ball around really well and they like to keep possession so we know how tough it will be but it is a challenge we're looking forward to. They're one of the best teams in the division but we know we can be right up there as well so it's up to us to take the game to them."
