Speaking at the presentation ceremony last Friday in Accra, the founder of Henry & Linda Inc., Dr Theophilus Sai said the gesture was part of efforts to improve the lives of Ghanaian children and young adults.

"We want to support them with education, mental health, security, we want them to advance professionally in whatever career they choose, it could be sports, medicine or engineering," Dr Sai said.

He further disclosed that the charity named after two Ghanaian children who lost their lives in Cuba had also concluded a partnership with the Asamoah Gyan Foundation to be in charge of providing career guidance to participants during the Baby Jet U-16 tournament.

For his part, the founder of the tournament and former Black Stars captain, Asamoah expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the charity.

He assured that the funds will be used judiciously to develop the next generation of sportsmen for the country.

"The tournament is something that we are doing to safeguard the future of Ghana football. As a footballer this is what I can do to support this country," he said.

Gyan's manager, Samuel Anim Addo also disclosed that the tournament was slated to begin in the first week of April and hosted at three venues namely; Accra Academy, McDan La Town Park and the Madina Astroturf Park.
