Next month, Celia will compete the world championship qualifiers from March 1 to 3 in Nairobi, Kenya, following her selection as one of the top 16 players in Africa for the qualifiers.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports last Friday the 26-year-old star said she improved on her spinning and batting with the racket.

“I have vastly improved, I can now play faster and with speed and I am able to position well in front of the board”, he told this paper.

She also hoped to use the world championship qualifiers to improve on her worldwide ranking and sharpen her hands for the games.

“The qualifiers will serve as an arena where I will learn more and prepare well for the games,” she stated.

Celia, however, stated that she would not relent in her pursuit of qualification to the world championships in Halmstad, Sweden in April.
