Despite light rain posing a potential threat to the match, the Knights demonstrated no signs of slowing down, having already defeated several formidable teams in the league including Tema Youth, Reformers, Fire Service and Ghana Airforce.

By the end of the first quarter, the Knights had taken a commanding 18-4 lead and maintained at least a 10-point margin over the next three quarters.

Although the Leopards mounted a comeback in the second quarter, reducing the score to 21-11, the Knights extinguished any hopes of a reversal in the third quarter, finishing with a score of 31-19.

Speaking after the match, Knights guard Paul Primo Kpodo attributed their success to their early lead and improved defence in the third quarter.

He expressed his confidence in their upcoming match against defending champions Braves, set for Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Knights co-founder, Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi, acknowledged the Braves' status as favourites heading into the game but expressed his satisfaction with the level of competition within the squad, which has not impacted their performance levels.

He remained hopeful that their continued efforts will lead them to victory in the playoffs.

"As we see, It's very competitive in our team and we hope to maintain the performance levels in the playoffs. If at the end of the day we are holding a prize in our hands, then we can say our baby steps have got us to our destination," he said.
