Ghanaian Second Division side, Shooting Stars FC is set to host legends from German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for a tie against an African Legends side on June 11, 2022, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The headline game of five days of activities involving the German side will be graced by the likes of African football great and former UEFA Champions League winner, Abedi Ayew Pele; Dortmund's Top-talent Trainer and Black Stars’ coach, Otto Addo, former Wolfsburg captain Charles K. Akonnor, former Dortmund Champions League winner, Ibrahim Tanko and other football icons such as Jay-Jay Okocha, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan and a host of other African Legends.
Shooting Stars FC will also engage an as yet to be named select side in a curtain-raiser for the Dortmund Legends versus African Legends game.
Advance sale of tickets to the Legends Match will start on May 7, 2022.
Other events that will be graced by the Dortmund team include a Youth Development Coaching Clinic, a visit to Chance for Children’s home and a Gala Dinner on June 9, 2022.
The team will also take part in a golf tournament on June 12, 2022.
