Scouts storm ‘7th Best in Ghana : In search of talents

European scouts last week stormed the Legon Ayax Park for this year’s "7th Best in Ghana soccer fiesta" in search of talents.

An annual event organised by sports and event management consortium, Protons Sports Limited, it provided the opportunity to showcase Ghanaian soccer talents. 

The five-day event also featured Premier League, Division One and Division Two sides from Cote d’Ivoire.

Dreams FC opened the event with a 1-0 win over third-tier side, New Generation while Division One League side, Vision FC, defeated fellow Division One side, Tamale Utrecht 2-1.

In other games, Dreams lost 0-2 to the national U-20 team, the Black Satellites, with division two side, Charity Stars, defeating Sporting Mirren 1-0.

Speaking to the Graphic Sports after the games, Dreams FC’s Director of Football, Ibrahim Dossey, praised the efforts of clubs outside Accra that participated in the tournament.
