Samuel Tetteh delighted after LASK reach Austrian Cup semis

Ghanaian forward Samuel Tetteh is on cloud nine after his club side LASK Linz eased into the semi-finals of the Austrian Cup on Saturday night.

LASK won their quarter-final clash against Sturm Graz 2-0 at home with Tetteh playing in the last six minutes of the tie.

The Red Bull Salzburg loanee told the Graphic Sports in an interview after the tie that he was delighted with his progress this season after making 18 appearances and notching up four goals and three assists.

"I think this season has been good compared to last season because I have featured in many games. I have had the opportunity to play in Champions League qualification and the Europa League where we topped our group", Tetteh said.

The 23-year-old added that he was looking forward to ending the season on double figures in goals and assists.

Touching on the appointment of Charles Kwablan Akonnor as coach of the Black Stars, Tetteh said he was looking forward to lacing up his boots for the experienced tactician.

"I think it was the right decision to appoint CK Akonnor and as a Ghanaian, I am behind him even though I don't know him personally, I wish him all the best".
