Ping Pong: National League enters second week

The national table tennis league spinned off last Saturday with some thrilling encounters which saw the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Immigration service, Prisons Service, Ghana Army and Police Service getting off to good starts in the men’s division.

Defending men’s champions, Immigration started on a good note as they beat Synergy Club 3-0 with GRA defeating Madina Club 3-0, while Fire Service defeated Tesano Spinners 3-2.

In other men’s encounters, Ghana Army beat EMEFS 3-2, walloped Koforidua Wise Loopers 3-0, Ghana Navy beat Asante Monetary County 3-2, Team Baboo secured a 3-0 win over Ashaiman Power Club, with Police Service defeating Kings Royal Academy 3-1 in the final first round matches.

In the second round of matches, Immigration won 3-0 against Madina Club, Synergy Club lost 0-3 to Tesano Spinners, while VRA beat Wise Loopers 3-0.

In other matches, Fire Service won 3-0 against EMEFS, Prisons beat Asante Monetary County 3-0 and Army won   3-0 against Ashaiman Power Club.

The final round of matches saw Navy defeating Kings Royal 3-1 before Police beat Team Baboo 3-2.

In the first of two matches played in the ladies division, Ghana Army beat EMEFS 3-0, while Navy won 3-1 against GRA.

GRA will meet Asante Monetary County, while Fire will clash with Power Club of Ashaiman.

Other matches will see Prisons take on Kings Royal Academy, Police Service play Army and Navy battle Team Baboo.
