Opaana wins Donyma Tennis

A kumasi-based businessman, Ernest Antwi (Opaana), gave tennis fans something to smile about when he delivered a number of aces to dismiss Dr Cudjoe Diaba to win the maiden Donyma Tennis competition in Kumasi.

Opaana, as the winner is affectionately called, proved that his recent stellar performances were no fluke as he literally pummelled the medical doctor from start to finish.

The men’s final, which was supposed to have been played last Saturday, was rained off and rescheduled.

At the time the rains interrupted the exciting match, Opaana was leading 3-1 and everything pointed to an annihilation of his opponent.

Indeed, the Adum phone dealer had to cancel his US trip just to grab the silverware to mark his fourth year as a member of the 4 Garrison Tennis Club, organisers of the competition.
