Nsoatreman FC face Karela United in MTN FA Cup quarters

Ghana Premier League sides, Nsoatreman FC and Karela United, will battle it out in the quarter-finals of this year’s MTN FA Cup this weekend for a spot in the last four clashes.

The match promises to be a cracker with Nsoatreman FC having home advantage at the Nana Koronmansah Park on Saturday.

Nsoatreman FC reached this stage after eliminating Berekum Chelsea 5-3 on penalties after the two sides failed to score during regulation time in their February 14 clash at the Nana Kronmansah Park. Karela United, on the

other hand, made a big statement after stunning Asante Kotoko 2-0 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Legon Cities and Bechem United face-off in another tough quarter-final showdown at the Dawu Park on Sunday, while last season's semi-finalists, Skyy FC, travel to Sunyani to battle Bofoakwa Tano at the Coronation Park on Sunday.

Legon Cities advanced to this stage after eliminating former champions, Nania FC 2-1, while Bechem United accounted for Division One League side, Young Akosombo 5-3 on penalties after regulation time ended 1-1.

Skyy FC guaranteed themselves a quarter-final berth after eliminating fellow Division One League side, Elmina Sharks 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 drawn game in regulation time, while Bofoakwa Tano beat Wa Power FC 1-0 to qualify.

The match between defending champions, Dreams FC and Division One League side, Soccer Intellectuals has been postponed due to Dreams FC's CAF Confederation Cup match with Stade Malien in Bamako on Sunday.

Dreams FC reached the quarter-final of the FA Cup after eliminating second-tier side Koforidua Semper Fi FC 4-1 in their Round of 16 clash last month.
