Meanwhile, in a gripping women's final, Invictus Tennis Academy's star, Sisu Makena Tormegah, displayed excellent form and emerged victorious over Precious Nunana from Ho Tennis Club, with a score of 6-3, 6-1.

Nii Ankrah was awarded an undisclosed sum of cash and a trophy, while Ms Tormegah received a trophy and an unspecified amount of cash.

The InterRecruit Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in the United States and owned by Togolese Tennis Star, Sadietou Mayou, partnered with the Tennis Federation Ghana (TFG) to host the week-long event, which featured young players aged 16 and above competing in the male and female junior open categories.

At the tournament, Ms Mayou, the InterRecruit Foundation's founder, explained that the event was designed to discover talented players and support winners and runners-up in securing scholarships to colleges and universities in the United States. She commended the quality of talent in Ghana and affirmed that the goal was to keep them in school while providing them with opportunities to train and compete at an international level to improve their rankings.

Ms Mayou also revealed that her organization would handle the SAT forms and tests of the winners and runners-up to enable them to gain admission to colleges in the US. Furthermore, she disclosed plans to extend the event to neighboring countries while maintaining Ghana as the hub, increasing prize money for winners and ensuring more sponsorship for future editions.

Nii Ankrah and Makena Tormegah both expressed gratitude to Ms Mayou and promised to make Ghana proud.
