Medeama, Kotoko to shake Tarkwa today

The Akoon Park at Tarkwa will be the place to be this afternoon when joint Premier league leaders, Medeama, clash with Asante Kotoko in a week four top liner.

However, Kotoko, led by experienced coach Maxwell Konadu, are looking to bounce back strongly after their shocking 0-1 home defeat to Berekum Chelsea last Sunday.

If for nothing at all, Kotoko will fight hard to avoid a second straight loss which could put pressure on coach Konadu, while highly-rated Medeama are tipped for another home victory.

The other exciting midweek thrills will see Hearts of Oak storming Sogakope to battle stubborn WAFA at the Redbull Arena where the home side have been ruthless in previous clashes with Hearts, who earned their first win of the competition with a 2-1 home victory over Ebusua Dwarfs in Accra last Sunday.

Tricky ties for Aduana, Ashgold

Aduana Stars and Ashantigold, the other unbeaten teams in the league, face tricky away duels against Eleven Wonders and Legon Cities at Techiman and Accra respectively, today.

Top scorer, Yahaya Mohammed, will seek to increase his five-goal tally against the struggling opponents, while skipper Shafiu Mumuni leads the Miners in search of pure gold in the capital at 7p.m.

Giant-killers, Berekum Chelsea, will face a tough assignment against in-form Dreams FC at the Berekum Golden City Park this afternoon, with Inter Allies and Elmina Sharks locking horns in the first duel of a double header at the Accra Stadium at 3pm today.

Struggling Dwarfs will fight hard for their first victory at the expense of visiting Liberty Professionals at the Cape Coast Stadium, while King Faisal will seek their first victory of the season when they host Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium.

At the Accra Stadium tomorrow, Great Olympics will seek to register their first win at the expense of Karela United in a tight encounter.
