The midfielder struck twice in the first half as the home side ran away with a 2-0 victory in their return leg clash at the Essipon Stadium in Sekondi.

Medeama came into the game hopeful of overturning the 0-1 loss they suffered last week in the first leg clash in the Tunisian city of Sfax. They dominated possession and took charge of the game as they shot into an early lead when Mohammed set them on course for victory with the opening goal in the 12th minute.

In the 39th minute, he scored a brace to make victory and qualification certain for the home side who now face Sudanese side Al Ahly Shendi, who defeated FC Saint Eloi

Lupopo of DR Congo 1-0 yesterday to progress on the away goal’s rule after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.

Coach Tom Strand’s side will first travel to the Sudan to face Al Ahly Shendi on the weekend of April 8-10 before hosting the return leg in Sekondi on the weekend of April 19- 20.
