Martha Bissah to be honoured Monday

Ghana’s young female athlete, Martha Bissah, will be honoured next Monday alongside other student athletes of the Norfolk State University for their exploits and consistent successes in their respective chosen sporting disciplines.

Martha Bissah is expected to receive an award at the Spartan Choice Awards for athletics while the other recipients will be awarded for their achievements in other disciplines such as tennis, American football and basketball.

A guardian of Martha Bissah, Kweku Nimako, told the Daily Graphic that the 21-year-old athlete continued to soar in her chosen career by chalking up yet another remarkable victory with a time of 4 minutes, 27.46 seconds last weekend in the 1,500 metres at the Fred Hardy Invitational held at the University of Richmond.
