Ligue 1 referee to officiate Stars, Brazil game

French Ligue 1 referee, Mikael Lesage, has been appointed to officiate in the Black Stars friendly game against the Selecao of Brazil on Friday.

The game which comes off at the Stade Oceane, Le Harve will be the fifth time the Black Stars would be engaging their Brazilian counterparts.

Lesage is an experienced referee with more than 150 games in the French top flight as well as in European competitions.

The 47-year-old would be assisted by Alexis Auger and Valentine Evrade, while Guillaume Paradis would be the fourth referee.

Tomorrow's game promises to be different and exciting as it will see Coach Otto Addo provide some players their debut in the national colours such as Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, and Germany-born duo of Stephan Ambrosius and Ransford Yeboah-Koningsdorffer.

Already, Tariq has stated his readiness to play in Friday's game insisting that he was looking forward to it because he would give his all to justify his inclusion to the team.

"I am very proud to be here and I am really determined to train hard, give the best as I can and I'm looking forward to the game on Friday.

"I feel really good, training has been good, it's good to know everybody. There is a very high quality (players) here and we are working hard in training, listening to what the coach has to say and looking forward to the game", he said.

"In this game you have to prepare very well, you prepare based on how you want to play and we're already excited and looking forward to play against the team on Friday.

"I am just really excited to come here and get to work. I am very happy and looking forward to the game.”
