Kurt Okraku upbeat about winning second term as Ghana FA president

Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Okraku, is confident of winning a second four-year term as the GFA president.

The former FA Cup Committee chairman who replaced Kwesi Nyantakyi in 2019 after defeating FA vice president, George Afriyie, believes he has done enough to win the vote of the electoral college.

He told SuperSport in an interview that the delegates would again renew his mandate just as they did four years ago because he has worked hard enough.
“Football will speak just like it did in 2019.

“What I know for a fact is that we have served football to the best of our ability. We were told in the classroom that there’s 24 hours in a day but football has taught has that there’s more than 24 hours in a day.

“And we have worked more than 24 hours in a day.”

Even though no official date has been announced for the election, some football administrators are said to have declared their intention to challenge the incumbent and former Dreams FC owner.

Noteable among them is Berekum Chelsea’s Nana Jantuah who is reported to have expressed interest in the position while it is believed Afriyie who lost in 2019 is likely to contest again.
