Kpodo for swimming seminar in Florida

Ghanaian International swimming official, Kwami Kpodo, will participate in this year’s Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA) -the world swimming body- seminar aimed at preparing referees, judges for certification to enable them advance and officiate at international swimming competitions.

The three-day course, to be held in conjunction with USA swimming takes off at the Miami Airport Marriott in Miami, Florida from June 19 to 21.

The ace swimming coach and referee told the Graphic Sports the school would afford him the privilege to learn new trends in the sport and the new rules in the game.

Meanwhile, Mr Kpodo will also be an official at the FINA World Masters Championships, scheduled to take place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from July 27 to August 10.

The 15th FINA World Masters Championship, which will be held in the pools of Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is expected to witness the world top swimmers and young talents gather to compete among themselves.

He told the Graphic Sports he was mentally and physically prepared for the epic competition expected to draw mammoth swimming talents to Montreal.

He expressed gratitude to the Ghana Swimming Association and the government for their support.
