Kotoko tame Dreams FC 2-1 at Tuba
Struggling Dreams FC played their best game yet at the Tuba Astro Turf only to succumb to a painful 1-2 defeat to visiting Asante Kotoko in front of Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, on Saturday afternoon.
Kotoko took a commanding 2-0 first half lead but had their back on the wall in the second half as the homesters took over in a thrilling fashion.
After some gruelling exchanges, Kotoko shot ahead in the 36th minute when Baba Yahaya sneaked through the opponents' defence to connect home Peter Amid u Acquah's cross.
Before Dreams FC could settle, Saaka Dauda doubled the lead for Kotoko after finishing off a rebound five minutes later.
However, Dreams FC staged a strong comeback after recess, with veteran Joseph Esso and Misbau Aziz giving the Kotoko defence a hell of trouble.
It was just a matter of course when Esso coolly displaced goalkeeper Mohammad Camara from Misbau's cross midway through the second half.
It was a one-way traffic for Dreams FC afterwards as Kotoko resorted to defending their slim lead and ended up attracting four yellow cards from referee Mohammed Misbaou before the final whistle.
