Kotoko, Medeama dominate Black Galaxies call-up
THE Black Galaxies’ preparation for the upcoming Championship of Africa Nations (CHAN) qualifiers is well underway, with Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani announcing a significant call-up of 54 players for screening.

The qualifiers are scheduled to take place from October 25-27.
Asante Kotoko lead the way with seven players invited to the second batch of screenings. Among those called up are key figures like goalkeeper Frederick Asare, midfielder Kotei Emmanuel, and Justice Blay, showcasing the club's strong representation.
Medeama SC also made a mark, contributing seven players, including five in the first batch—Appiah Kubi, Kamaradini Mamudu, Suleman Abdul-Fatawu, Abdulai Nurudeen, and Tetteh Bernardino—while Derrick Fordjour and Manuel Mantey were included in the second batch.
Heart of Oak added to the mix with five players, including goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and forward David Oppong Afranie, demonstrating the depth of talent across the league.
In addition to these clubs, players from a range of teams—including Basake Holy Stars, Nations FC, Bibiani Gold Stars, and Legon Cities—have also been invited, highlighting a broad effort to scout the best local talents for the national team.
