Korblah wins GoldFields PGA

Emos Korblah has won this year’s Goldfield's Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of Ghana golf championship played at the Damang Golf Course in the Western Region.

He prevented Nigeria’s Sunday Odegha from winning the competition after dominated the for the first three days.

Korblah overtook Odegha on the final day with a total score of 286 and took home a cash prize of GH¢25,000, while Odegha followed with a score of 288.

Defending champion, Vincent Torgah, unfortunately, had a bad  run as he could not finish in the first three of the winners but however managed to finish fifth with a total score of 290.

Kojo Barnie took the third place the while Kojo Barnie, the Vice-Captain of PGA and Stephen Klah tied with 289 in that order.

Lucky Ayisah also placed fifth with a score of 290 with Martin Odoh and Godwin Sai finishing sixth with a score of 292.

The other golfers who made the 24 cut were David Doe, Victor Brave Mensah, Emmanuel Osei, Chichi Jackson and Theophilus Govinious.

The president of PGA of Ghana, Mr Bliss B. K. Ayivor commended the golfers for comporting themselves and also thanked the sponsors for coming on board to support them.
