Kamaldeen Sulemana becomes fourth Ghanaian to join Rennes

Ghanaian wonderkid Kamaldeen Sulemana has become the fourth Ghanaian to sign for French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes after John Mensah, Asamoah Gyan and John Boye.

Sulemana, 19, joined Rennes on a five-year deal from Danish giants FC Nordsjælland where his scored 10 goals and provided 8 assists last season.

"I am very happy to join Stade Rennais FC, a very good French club. The project meets my expectations," Sulemana said at his unveiling on July 16, 2021.

"The Ligue 1 Uber Eats is one of the best leagues in Europe. There is a very good team in Rennes, a lot of talent. I know the club is famous for its training. For a young player like me, it is the best choice to progress. I have come to help the team achieve their goals. It is a great challenge to take up".

Born in Techiman, he was trained at Right To Dream Academy and later moved to its sister club FC Nordsjælland.

Noted for his technique and pace, Sulemana has also made two appearances for the Black Stars.
