Egyptian Premier League club Ismaily have completed the signing of Ghanaian attacking midfielder Thomas Abbey from local side Hearts of Oak.
Abbey had a superb season with Hearts of Oak last season, bagging 13 goals in 28 matches. He returned to training with the club since the beginning of January.
However, the Ghanaian club decided to release the player, for Ismaily to pounce on this opportunity and sign him on a bosman deal.
Ismaily announced the Ghanaian playmaker has landed in Egypt on Wednesday night in order to finalize his move to the Yellows. The club also stated that Abbey will join training immediately and in the following day to his arrival.
Abbey has previously presented the Ghana’s local national team, hitting the net in multiple occasions. The 24-year-old player is also capable of playing on the wings.
