Inter-School gala at Lizzy’s Complex Sat
Over 25 international schools will battle for honours in this year's Inter School’s Football Gala and Swimming Competition slated for Saturday at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra.

The one-day event, organised by the Lizzy Sports Complex in partnership with the Global Media Alliance (GMA), aims to unearth talents among students aged between 8-16 from private primary and junior high schools.
According to the Director of Sport at the Lizzy Sports Complex, Mr Jamil Maraby, the objective of the event was to inspire students to actively get involved in sports through swimming and football.
He said due to the success of previous editions of the gala, Lizzy’s Sports Complex extended its partnership with Global Media Alliance for this year’s edition.
“As part of efforts to expand, we included a swimming competition. We believe swimming is a competitive sport that needs more attention,” Mr Maraby added.
Commenting on the competition, the Head of Events at GMA, Mr Eli Tettey-Doamekpor, said “This year’s event is intended to offer a unique form of competitive, healthy and entertaining competition for participating schools”.
Participating for this year’s event are Ghana International School, Merton’s, Vilac International, School, St Alban Int. School, Jack and Jill School, Delhi Public School, First Star Academy, Penfield School, Alssyd Academy, East Airport International School, British International School, Datus School Complex, Christ the King, Day Spring, Grace Preparatory School, Effort Montessori, Soul Clinic International School, Torpedo Swimming Club, Felix Fitness Centre, Ecole Francaise, University of Ghana Club, Dayspring Forth and North Legon Little Campus.
This year’s event marks the fourth edition of the competition and is proudly sponsored by Twellium Industrial Company, producers of Planet Juices, Indomie Ghana Limited, Fanmilk Ghana Limited, T’Best, Mobilia, Halma Fruit Drink and Latex Foam.
