Allies goalie Osei Kwame's howler gifted Kotoko the opener in the 12th minute when he could only parry Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi's shot into the path of Bennett Ofori who stabbed home to give the visitors the lead.

The hosts grabbed the equaliser in the 51st minute when Frederick Opoku Yamoah rifled home a 30 yard shot past Kotoko stopper Ernest Sowah.

The Porcupine Warriors were hoping to move past league leaders Wa All Stars to the summit of the log as they headed into the tie a point behind them.

The draw leaves Kotoko with 31 points and in second place by virtue of an inferior goal difference while Allies moved to 12th place with 19 points.
