KNUST are now tied with Seniors on seven points apiece in the second position after a rather shaky start to the season.

The acting president of the regional association, Kwabena Akyeampong, put Seniors in front in 30th minute but it was cancelled 19 minutes later by Alexander Frimpong, while Samuel Asare scored the match winner in the 53rd minute.

League leaders, Silver, were given a good run for their money but still managed a slim 3-2 win over Royals in a cagey match.

Emmanuel Debrah, Adu Gyamfi Brobbey and Sarah Addai scored for Silver, while Suzanne Danquah and Anthony Aikins netted for Royals.

Silver now lead the pack with 10 points and could further stretch their lead after drawing with their main challenger, Seniors, a week earlier.

'Journey men' who are yet to impress lost 1-2 to Unique. Amoako Bonsie scored both goals for Unique, while Castro Boateng scored for Bibiani.
