Hearts will shock many this season

Accra Hearts of Oak are set to confound many including their critics this season as the Premier League is set to kick off on Sunday.

Vincent Sowah Odotei, chairman of the Strategic Committee of Hearts, confidently declared this in an interview with the Graphic Sports and stated that a lot had happened since the Phobians’ shambolic tour of Libya where they lost 4-0 in two games with Ahli of Tripoli.

"We have done a lot of work on the team and brought in some seasoned players to blend with the young ones we started grooming last season and the results are beginning to show.

"We have signed on Richard Akrofi who is expected to strengthen the centre of our defence and Mustapha Essuman and Samodeen Mohammed who seemed to have brought some live into our midfield,” he said.

These, together with Sam Yeboah, an experienced striker, are among some of the good things that have happened to the team and together with Coach Kenichi Yashuhachi, we'll shock everybody this season".

He said the Phobians outfit was being frantically packaged for a big take off and become a strong brand in both Ghana and Africa.
