Hasaacas Ladies, Nordsjealland draw 2-2

The runners-up of the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League, Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies came from behind to draw 2-2 with visiting Danish fmelae side, FC Nordsjealland in an international friendly played at the Nduom Park on Saturday.

It was a game of two halves for the hosts and visitors as the Danish side got their goals in the first half and the four times WPL champions, Hasaacas Ladies recovered and scored their goals in the second half in a game that lasted 30 minutes per each half.

The first pre season game for the former Ghana double champions since they lost both the WPL and FA Cup title, goals from Firdaus Yakubu and Veronica Appiah helped the giants in women’s football to recover after they had conceded early in the first half.

The 2020 Danish Cup winners strike first in the 10th minute and doubled their lead in the 25th minute.

In the second half, Yakubu pulled a goal back after converting a penalty after Success Ameyaa was fouled in the penalty area.

In the dying minutes of the game, Appiah came through with the equalizer, finishing off a great assist

The match is part of the pre season training for both sides, and it was the first time an European club have come to Africa for a friendly encounter.

The Danish club are in Ghana as part of their training and visit to their sister club, Right to Dream Academy at Old Akrade in the Eastern Region.

They return to Denmark on Wednesday.
