Guan United Up

Lepowura Alhaji M.N.D. Jawula’s Guan United yesterday beat Wa Yasminn 2-1 in their Zone One Middle League match played at the Sekondi Stadium at Essipong.

But Yasminn were the first to find the net through a 72nd minute penalty. However, the determined Guan side found the equaliser in similar fashion (penalty kick) in the 74th minute before their enterprising player, Maxwell, headed in the winner in the 80th minute.

In the other match of the group, a penalty goal by Bechem United enabled them to pip BA United 1-0 to set a top-of-the-table clash with Guan United on Saturday at Essipong, while Yasminn and BA United meet on the same day in Cape Coast.
