Dominance

The GRA Ladies set the tone for their championship run by defeating Delta Queens of Nigeria 4-3 in a gripping opening match. They continued their impressive form by trouncing Genetrix of Malawi 12-0, humbling Blazers of Kenya 4-1, outclassing Scorpions of Uganda 18-0, and trouncing Capital Braves, also from Malawi, with a commanding 15-0 victory.

Throughout the tournament, the team showcased an outstanding offensive display, scoring a remarkable total of 55 goals while conceding only six.

In a remarkable individual achievement, Vivian Narkuor, a key player for the Ghanaian side, claimed the top scorer award with an impressive tally of 19 goals, marking the highest individual goal haul in the tournament's history.

GRA made it a treble of laurels with the Fair Play award reserved for the most disciplined club.

In an interview with the  Daily Graphic, the Head of the Sports Unit of GRA, Ebenezer Frimpong, said the ladies were a delight to watch and attracted capacity crowds to their matches.

He expressed appreciation to the Commissioner General of GRA, Rev. Dr Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, and the entire management team for their support.

This latest triumph adds to the GRA Ladies' impressive record, having previously clinched the championship in 2017 and 2021 when it was hosted in Accra. In 2022, they successfully defended their title in Nairobi, Kenya, securing a treble of laurels in the prestigious tournament.
