Gordon is star of FA Cup
Medeama star, Joseph Gordon, last Saturday won the Most Valuable Player of the MTN FA Cup competition after beating former Hearts of Oak’s Mahatma Otoo and Michael Helegbe of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

At a MTN/FA Cup awards ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra, six players were awarded for their distinguished performance in the competition.
Gordon who had a magnificent competition was instrumental in the club’s success, particularly against Kumasi Asante Kotoko whom they beat 1-0 in the final at the Accra Sports Stadium.
His teammate, Theophilus Anobah had his winning goal in the final adjudged the Best Goal of the Competition, while head coach, Evans Adotey, also beat the likes of David Duncan of Hearts of Oak, Mas Ud Didi Dramani of Kotoko and Amidaus Professionals’ Toni Lokko for the Best Coach of the competition.
Other award winners on the night were former Asante Kotoko defender , Rashid Sumaila ( Best Defender) , Maxwell Ashirefi of Nania FC and Robert Ghansah of XI Wise who were joint top scorers, while Kumasi Asante Kotoko picked the Top Scoring award after scoring 17 goals in the tournament.
Frederick Acheampong of Rainbow FC received the Discovery of the Tournament, while Joseph Lamptey and Ibrahim Adams were the Best Referee and Assistant Referee respectively. Linear Addy was the best Match Commissioner of the tournament.
