Ghana's Patrick Allotey returns against Serhii Bohachuk July 22
Former World Boxing Organisation (WBO) super welterweight Africa champion, Patrick Allotey is expected to make his long-awaited ring return on July 22 against Ukrainian Serhii ‘El Flaco’ Bohachuk in a WBC Continental Americas Championship at Chumash Casino Resort in California.

The bout, which is being put together by Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions, is targeted at providing a dependable opponent to champion Bohachuk, who would be making a second WBC Continental Americas title defence.
Confirming the fight, Loeffler said “We are excited to announce our next Hollywood Fight Nights Show on Saturday, July 22 live on UFC Fight Pass.
“We are looking forward to bringing World Class Boxing back to Chumash Casino Resort with Serhii Bohachuk defending his WBC Continental Americas Championship against tough Patrick Allotey. This will be a great boxing weekend for fans to come to the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley.”
Known for his show-stopping knockouts which have accounted for all of his 22 career victories, the 28-year-old Bohachuk returns to battle following a sixth-round stoppage of Nathaniel Gallimore on January 27, 2023, his fourth straight victory.
His other knockout wins during this impressive streak include victories against Aaron Coley, Raphael Igbokwe, and Brandon Baue.
“I’m happy to be back in the ring on July 22 and looking forward to defending my WBC title against Patrick Allotey,” said Bohachuk.
“I saw him fight for the world title against Jaime Munguia and think this will be another great challenge to show I am ready to become a world champion.”
Meanwhile, Alottey (42-4, 32 KOs) is returning for the first time in over a year since recording two knockout wins over Victus Kemavor and Hamisi Maya in December 2020 and March 2022.
Among the notable names Allotey has fought as a professional are top-rated middleweight Jaime Munguia, Kanat Islam, Patrick Teixeira, and Charles Manyuchi.
