The 26-year-old forward, who boasts experience from clubs like Standard Liège, Sparta Prague, and Yeni Malatyaspor, is poised to undergo a medical assessment on Monday ahead of the prospective transfer.

During his 15 appearances in the English second-tier league, Tetteh managed to score once and contributed four assists. His tenure at Hull City, which commenced last summer, was marked by a hamstring injury that hindered his ability to make a significant impact on the field during the limited playing time he received.

Tetteh's impending move to Metz will mark the club's fourth signing of the summer. Managed by László Bölöni, the team achieved an impressive promotion back to Ligue 1 in the previous season. Their resurgent performance saw them clinch the runners-up spot in the second tier, narrowly outshining Bordeaux on the final day of the campaign. This accomplishment followed a challenging first half of the season.

Hull City's coach, Liam Rosenior, recently shared emotional sentiments as Benjamin Tetteh bade farewell to his colleagues and the staff at the training ground. The 26-year-old's year-long tenure at the MKM Stadium was marked by difficulties, including serious hamstring injuries and personal loss due to events in Turkiye and Syria.

Tetteh's time at Hull City included 15 appearances in the Championship, culminating in one goal, notably a memorable finish during the 2-0 victory over West Brom. He also played a crucial role in assisting Jacob Greaves's header at Norwich City.

Reflecting on Tetteh's departure, Rosenior stated, "The decision to let him go is not for footballing reasons, and if it was for footballing reasons and we wanted to keep him then we would." The coach emphasized the strong bond he shared with Tetteh and expressed his heartfelt well wishes for the player's new journey in the French league.

As Metz's imminent acquisition of Benjamin Tetteh nears confirmation, the move is anticipated to offer new opportunities and challenges for the Ghanaian striker while also serving as a reminder of the personal and human aspects that shape players' careers.
