Fulham in talks to sign Jordan Ayew from Swansea

Fulham are in talks to sign striker Jordan Ayew from Swansea, Sky Sports News understands.

Sky Sports News have been told the Cottagers have made a bid in the region of £8m for Ghana international Ayew who was Swansea's top scorer last season with 11, including seven in the Premier League.

Ayew has been linked with several clubs since Swansea were relegated and joins the likes of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and defender Alfie Mawson who look likely to leave South Wales.

Ayew joined Swansea from Aston Villa in January 2017 and played alongside his older brother Andre.

Ayew's 11 goals couldn't prevent the Swans going down under Carlos Carvalhal but — along with Lukasz Fabianski and Alfie Mawson, also linked with moves elsewhere — he was one of a few players to emerge with credit.

Fulham are looking to sign a striker with Aleksandr Mitrovic's future unclear.

The Serbian striker led the line for Slavisa Jokanovic's side during their run to play-off glory in the Championship last season, on loan from Newcastle.

New Swansea boss Graham Potter could be inclined to let Ayew leave as he oversees a major squad overhaul following Premier League relegation.
