Founder’s Day Games in Ho Sept 21

The Volta Regional Directorate of the National Sports Authority (NSA) will organise Departmental Games in Ho on September 21 to celebrate this year’s Founder’s Day.

The event is to promote social inclusion, peace, unity, physical fitness and reduce non-communicable diseases among the “working class”.

Among the activities lined up for the one-day games are aerobics, tug-of-war, sack race, 100m walk and team challenge.

Madam Vivian Dougblor, Regional Sports Director of the NSA, said though sporting activities were “capital intensive” their benefits could not be underestimated.

She urged public and private corporate institutions to register in order to take part in the Games.
