Former Ghana Athletics boss call for peace during the elections

A Peace Ambassador General for the 2016 elections and sports enthusiast George Lutterodt has charged Ghanaians to ensure that Wednesday's presidential elections will be free and fair.

He urged the Ghanaian electorate and the Electoral Commission to work together to ensure the polls are free and fair.

"I believe in the Ghanaian and believe in the EC and I hope all will be free on that day" he sated.

Lutterodt, a former head of the Ghana Athletics Association also called for the quick resolution of electoral disputes.

According to him once the election results are declared by the EC, all the other parties must graciously concede to ensure peace and harmony in the country.

The Peace Ambassador quoted Proverbs 14:34 which states "Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a rebuke to the people", to conscientise Ghanaians to eschew violence before , during and after the election.

He appealed to the winner of this year's election to appoint members of the opposition to his cabinet to ensure national harmony.
