Fenyi, 23, is set to face Swiss opponent in a bout that promises to be a thrilling contest between two young, determined fighters.
Fenyi, with a remarkable knockout rate of 90 per cent, enters the fight with an impressive record of 15 bouts, comprising 12 wins, two losses, and three draws. His 22-year-old Swiss opponent, Bajra, has fought seven times as a professional, suffering just one defeat.
Speaking ahead of his departure to Germany, Fenyi expressed his determination to bring the title home to Ghana.
"This is a new challenge for me, and also a new opportunity. I will make sure I win this fight and make Ghana proud. I will bring the world title home," Fenyi told the Graphic Sports.
Fenyi’s last fight took place in April 2024 at the SG Mall in Kumasi, where he fought veteran Eric Quarm to a unanimous draw in an eight-round lightweight contest. Now moving up to contest for the welterweight title, Fenyi is eager to seize this chance on the international stage.
Accompanying him on his trip to Germany will be his trainer, Theophilus Aryee; his Manager, Rahman Mohammed, and the cutman, Enoch Amponsah.
The team is set to depart Accra on September 25 and return on September 29.
Fenyi's trainer is confident in his fighter’s preparation and ability to succeed.
"We have trained well for this fight and we urge all Ghanaians to support us and pray for victory," Aryee said.
